Before you book the train

Book early. There is one direct train a week, so its seats go first.
Settle the way home first. Check the return service before you book the outward journey. Many travellers come by train and fly back, and we can drop you at Shirdi airport instead of the station.

Is the train right for you?

It is the cheapest way to Shirdi, and for a younger group with flexible dates it is a perfectly good one. But it is about 24 hours each way. For parents in their seventies, two long journeys either side of one night at the mandir is a lot to ask. If that is your group, the Chennai flight package gets them there in under two hours.
